A Thoughtful Guide to Natural Incense

In a world that moves very fast, I’ll be honest, it’s not always easy to practice what we preach. Slowing down sounds lovely in theory, but real life is busy and full. One thing I can say for certain though… there is almost always incense burning somewhere in the background.

Lighting incense is such a small act, but it has a way of gently shifting a space. The soft curl of smoke, the scent slowly settling into the room, the subtle change in atmosphere. It invites you to pause, even if just for a moment. Incense has been used for centuries to support reflection, ritual and presence, and there is something comforting about continuing that tradition in our own everyday way.

Be Kind Industries was created from that feeling. We are based in Wicklow and inspired by a slower, more intentional pace of living, even if we don’t always get it perfectly right. Each stick is hand rolled in India using natural ingredients and traditional temple-grade methods, crafted by skilled artisans who have carried this knowledge for generations.

Our incense is free from synthetic fragrance oils and harsh chemicals, made sustainably, and created to bring a little steadiness into your day. Oud Noir - Wicklow’s Way
Dark, complex and sensual, this blend feels luxurious and mysterious. Ideal for evenings and special occasions - or every minute of every day in our house!

Frankincense and Myrrh - Hollywood
Sacred and timeless, this pairing combines soft sweetness with earthy resin. It creates a warm, contemplative atmosphere, especially beautiful during winter months.

Musk - Magheramore
Smooth, powdery and gently woody, musk has a subtle warmth that lingers softly in the background. It’s calming without overpowering, a perfect combination of herbs resins and spices.

Woody Incense

Woody incense has a grounding presence. It’s warm, steady and comforting, perfect for meditation, evening routines or quiet reflection.

Agarwood - Djouce Woods
Deep, resinous and subtly sweet, with a similar profile to our Oud, slightly more delicate. A contemplative and grounding fragrance ideal for creating a sophisticated atmosphere.

Sandalwood - Hill of Tara
Creamy, soft, and balancing. Sandalwood helps centre the mind and create a calm environment - often referred to as a hug for your nose!

Cedarwood - Lough Tay
Fresh, warm and slightly balsamic with a hint of citrus brightness. Cedarwood evokes quiet, steady woodland energy.

Cedar and Rose - Ancient East
A thoughtful combination of woody cedar and soft rose. Grounding yet gentle, it creates a balanced and reflective atmosphere.

Rose and Sandalwood - Lough Ouler
When floral notes meet woody depth, something magical happens.

These blends feel balanced - not overly sweet, not overly earthy, subtle and elegant, warm and inviting.

Lavender - Sugarloaf
Softly floral with herbal depth & gentle powdery vanilla undertones, lavender is synonymous with relaxation. Perfect for winding down before sleep or easing into a quiet evening.

Patchouli - The Burren
Musky and earthy with a touch of sweetness. Patchouli is grounding and rich, perfect for deep breathing and quiet moments.

Nag Champa - Glendalough
A classic temple-inspired blend, combining florals, woods and resins. It’s meditative, nostalgic, earthy and deeply calming.

Blue Lotus - Vartry
Ethereal, lightly spiced and sweet. Blue lotus feels meditative, sensual and quietly intriguing. Blue lotus carries a sweet, almost otherworldly floral character. Its no surprise the ancient Egyptians used Blue Lotus as a natural aphrodisiac :)

Pink Lotus - The Cove
Fruitier than blue lotus, pink lotus has a gentle sweetness with subtle warmth. It feels nurturing and comforting.

Jasmine - Mourne Mountains
Rich, floral and beautifully bold, jasmine is both sweet and sensual. Its depth makes it ideal for evenings or when you want to create a warm, intimate atmosphere. Grounding while still light.

Champa - Ring of Kerry
Often associated with joy and positivity, Champa has a bright, golden floral aroma that feels uplifting and vibrant, wonderful for daytime use.

Pushkar - St. Kevin’s Way
A subtle forest-like blend of blue lotus and wildflowers from India. Calm and serene, it invites reflection. This one takes me back to fond memories in grandma's house :)
